The main difference is that vinyl, which is rubber, is a stiffer, more affordable, and more durable material, while platinum silicone is a much more expensive material that is more flexible and realistic to the touch 

At the same time, silicone ones require many more hours to make (more complex manufacturing, painting, hair grafting, etc.), which is why they are more expensive and more delicate.

In our case, for the vinyl ones, we use the softest vinyl on the market, and you should know that they also have a bathing system, which makes them  suitable for washing up to the neck, meaning they are not submersible. 

And you should also know that the silicone ones can be washed and are also submersible.

Of course, in fact, it is something you should keep in mind if you find much cheaper silicone.

Yes. For girls aged 4 to 6 we recommend Sofía and Daniel, our smallest silicone babies, for two reasons:

👐 They are very easy to handle: they are 33 cm (13 in) long and weigh only 1.2 kg (2.6 lb), so a 4-year-old can pick them up, hug them and carry them around easily.

🎨 They have simple painting and no hair: rooted hair and highly detailed painting are the hardest parts of a reborn to look after. With Sofía and Daniel it is much easier to keep them looking like new.

🛁 They can also be bathed. For the first few days, it is best for her to play with them with an adult nearby until she learns how to hold them.
